BRITISH FOOD
Despite my Caribbean heritage, I love nothing more than British food classics. Whenever I’ve been overseas, the first thing I tuck into when I get back on British soil is a ‘Full English Breakfast’ – a plate of sausages, bacon, eggs, black pudding, mushrooms, tomatoes and fried bread. It has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime!
British cuisine is world famous – but the real British classic everyday dishes that I love often get overlooked. Toad in the Hole; Shepherd’s Pie; Steak and Kidney Pie – every one a delicacy in their own way, trust me.
The other all-time great British classic that I cannot resist, is, of course a traditional Cream Tea. Freshly baked Scones generously spread with Jam and Cornish Clotted Cream is a marriage made in heaven.
